🟡 Minor Impact Stages


Warning Level: Low
All minor impact stages are hikeable. Hike with caution and check
regular trail status updates and weather conditions before departure.
- Stage 09: Bogawanthalawa to Diagama
- Stage 13: Haputale to St Catherines
- Stage 18: Hali Ela to Ettampitiya
- Stage 19: Ettampitiya to Loonuwatta
- Stage 20: Loonuwatta to Udupussellawa
- Stage 21: Udupussellawa to Kandapola
🟠 Moderate Impact Stages & 🔴 High Impact Stages


Warning Level: Medium
Hiking remains possible with precautions and under all current weather advisories.
Solo hiking is not recommended. Travel in a group or with a Trail Host.
- Stage 01: Hanthana to Galaha
- Stage 05: Pundaluoya to Watagoda
- Stage 12: Udaweriya to Haputale
Warning Level: High
These stages are temporarily closed due to high-risk conditions,
limited access, or because they have not yet been fully evaluated for safety.
- Stage 02: Galaha to Loolkandura
- Stage 03: Loolkandura to Tawalantenne
- Stage 04: Tawalantenne to Pundaluoya
